Do People Still Blog?

I've spent the last six hours scrubbing this blog, going from 178 entries to... six.

I used to blog about everything. Embarrassingly meaningless content. (Actually, I think it's a stretch to even call it content.) And then I PUBLISHED it. And sometimes shared links to social media so that people who knew me could FIND IT and READ IT. *cringe*

I also used to be a bit of a... SUPERCHRISTIANONFIREFORJESUS!!

While I am currently deconstructing my faith, deciding what it is I genuinely believe and what labels do and do not apply to me... I think I approach religion and many other subjects with a much more open mind than I used to. Hopefully, that makes me a better writer, and an even better human. 

I backed up all the entries (because I'm not a monster) but I couldn't believe some of the thoughts I had unabashedly shared. If you were someone who read ANY of it, thank you for indulging me (you're the true hero, here)... and I hope you took screenshots of your favorites, because they will never see the light of day again. 

Seriously, if something happens to me and Jason tries to share any of them at my memorial service, let it be EXPLICITLY STATED HERE that I DO NOT WANT THAT... unless, of course, it makes me look like a Saint, and then, obviously, proceed. 

Kidding. Save the files if my kids want to read them, or just bury me with them. But, in the future, I'm going to exercise a bit more discretion in what I share. 2021 Jen is not as open as 2004-2014 Jen was. Dear God, I don't think I've met anyone who is as open as 2004-2014 Jen was. 

Anyway, I said it in about a half dozen (deleted) entries before this one, but I hope to use this space more often. Stay tuned? Or don't. I'm not sure anyone reads blogs anymore.
